Black Ops vs DrugHub: The NDARC Count Gap Explained
DrugHub is the listing-count leader of the scraped western cryptomarkets; the black ops market spends 2026 climbing toward it. Both are Monero-only, both are PGP-mandatory, and both were founded by people selling a security story. The comparison is closer than the numbers suggest.
Measured
| Snapshot | Drughub | Blackops | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| January 2026 | 12,818 | 5,006 | 2.6× |
| May 2026 | 14,386 (series peak) | top-five finish | ≈2.5–3× |
DrugHub peaked at 14,386 listings in the May 2026 snapshot — the highest single count NDARC recorded in the bulletin's nineteen-market field, against an average of 3,719. The black ops market finished inside the top five but was not named at the summit. On measured drug supply, DrugHub leads the west.
The parallel origin stories
DrugHub launched in August 2023, staffed — by its own account — by former White House Market people, after WHM's wind-down; it absorbed SuperMarket's remnants, went Monero-only and mandated PGP login. Black Ops Market debuted on Dread in October 2024 with Monero-only, mandatory PGP, and a vendor-courtesy bundle (variable fees, employee accounts, automated upgrades). Same playbook, one year apart: recruit a proven team or a proven pitch, adopt the privacy-coin orthodoxy, open in the gap left by the last collapse. DrugHub opened in White House Market's shadow; BlackOps opened into the Archetyp/Abacus vacuum described in the 2025 wave file.
Where they diverge
- Catalog strategy. DrugHub stays a drug market — NDARC's leader by drug listings is, as far as the scraped record shows, winning on drugs. Black Ops's 2026 profile (SOCRadar) is multi-category with a 19,000+ displayed digital-products section — a bet that drugs fund a general store. The category dispute file tracks whether that bet is real or badge.
- Public posture. Black Ops runs a documented drug checking program (April 2025) and a stated fentanyl ban; DrugHub's public identity is pedigree-and-security, including a collaboration with BlackOps on harm-reduction articles on Dread, as reported (uncorroborated) by the EverybodyWiki draft — see its audit.
- Vendor economics. DrugHub's documented hook is team pedigree; Black Ops's is fee architecture. Neither publishes verifiable fee numbers — every percentage circulating on portals for either market is unsourced.
Reading the gap
A 2.5–3× drug-listing gap between the cohort's two flagship Monero markets is not a quality ordering — NDARC counts supply breadth, not revenue, safety or longevity. What the gap does show is that the black ops darknet market, eighteen months from its documented debut, had already closed to striking distance of a market that inherited White House Market's DNA. In an ecosystem where the total doubled in twelve months, both trajectories say more about the post-Abacus land grab than about either shop's virtues.
